It is time….

Since my daughter was born I have been growing out my hair to donate to locks of love. http://www.locksoflove.org/donate.html

It is now long enough, and then some. It has not been dyed. It has not been permed. It has not been bleached. It is as untouched as it can be at this point.

So Thursday, I am going in to get it cut and donated. I am going to have very short hair very shortly. So here is your change to have an opinion….

Now, that being said, there are a few things to keep in mind. First of all, my hair will be a lot darker than this. In fact I plan to color it even darker than it is naturally. Secondly, I do reserve the right to let my stylist have free reign with my hair and see what she comes up with. I trust her to consider what would look best and she might have other ideas.

And for reference, here is the most recent picture of me. Have fun! I will post before and after pictures later.

  1. I think I like the first style better…it looks like it would be less fuss, too. The second one might not always look very good if you don’t put gel etc on it. But then, I prefer not to spend much time on my hair, so YMMV :)

  2. I think, personally, I prefer the second style… but I tend to prefer long hair, for some reason.

Meh, all for a good cause! :D

  4. ooh, that’s tough, as both look good, but I’d vote for the first because I’ve _always_ wanted to be able to do that style with my hair, and I can’t because it’s just wavy enough. sigh. So, it’s a selfish vote, but I’d go with your hairstylists suggestions! =]

  5. I like the first best too because it looks easy. You didn’t ask for an opinion on the color but i’d vote for auburn :)
I looked at all the other short cuts and liked 6, 8, and 12 looked interesting. 16 looked easy and 25 reminds me of your personality. Whatever you choose it will be fun and as you say hair always grows again.

  6. Well color comes later…..It takes too much maintenance for me to attempt at the moment. But I do think a darker auburn might be fun. I will have to take a look at the other cut suggestions. By the way everyone, look up, that is my mom!!!!

  7. Um, I’d let it grow another 6 months, then have it cut to current length. ;-) I’m not a short hair fan, so my opinion is very biased.

  8. Problem is, it doesn’t seem to be getting any longer at this point. I think it has basically reached its limit. On the other hand, my hair grows awfully fast. In fact I generally don’t keep it short for long because it means I have to get it cut too often.
